Mission Impossible


The mission from Paramount, which DISC accepted, was to create the drama and tension of the iconic lit fuse from the Mission Impossible series. The Trilogy Set was to provide a covert military look and blend in the series logo and fuse image.  


While the package for this release was built on the static structure of the classic slipcase design, it was the combination of dynamic graphics, silver foil, matte and gloss spot UV coating, and multi-level embossing and de-bossing that brings the package to life and gave it star power. The white-hot flashpoint of the fuse was accentuated through the use of opaque white on the silver foil and a judicious use of embossing and spot gloss UV was applied to the sparks surrounding the flash fooling the senses into thinking you can hear it sizzle. The new MI logo was embellished in red, with embossing and spot gloss UV coating, which gave the customer all the elements to successfully market the MI Extreme Trilogy Blu-ray release.
